Report Speed

SUGGESTED

When will the issue with the speed of FAS reports be resolved ten months and counting? Do we have to wait until the new release? What guarantees to we have that the issue in  2014.1 will be resolved in 2015.1 or will you release another verison with same reporting bugs?

One of the key focuses for the 2015 release is around performance improvments. For your specific issue I would recommend contacting support directly so they can provide more details if it will be included in the 2015.1 updates.

I did contact support, sales rep, the CIO and the President with no response as to why the product was released with such flaws.  I can not get a direct answer why and when the issue will be resolved.  So contacting SAGE is useless at best.  So before you answer you need to be honest and truthful withe the users.  Finding another vendor for fixed asset software appears to be the best solution for us.  Maybe when the enough customers leave, SAGE will get their act together and release products that work.

We're sorry for the inconvience. We understand there are performance issues which we are looking to resolve.  If you can provide us your direct contact information by sending an email to [email protected] we will have somesome look into your specific issue and contact you back.

Contracting [email protected] will not change the issue that the product is very very very slow.  I have called the support group and all they do is reads a script promising that the tech guys are looking into a solution.  If nothing has happen in 11 months what’s new?  More empty promises a fix is coming be patient and we are sorry you are frustrated.  I am over the excuses , I want a fix now!

Hi Kmed - We understand your concerns around the slower reporting performance that you are experiencing.  As stated above, the 2015.1 release due out around January will include performance updates.  However, without knowing the specifics of your case we cannot say for sure if your particular issue will be resolved. I encourage you to send us your contact information to [email protected] so someone may review your case.   If you prefer, instead of emailing us, you could login to the customer portal and create an online ticket and someone will respond.  Sorry for the inconvenience, hang in there, the release is coming soon.

    DEAR EricR

Patronizing the client is what SAGE does very well, and it’s not very becoming.

If the President all the way down to the support t group has given me the same answer for the last 11 months, “ We are working on the performance issue”,  why should I trust Sage Support today to  tell me that next release is going to be better?

Why can’t the issue be fixed today and why must I wait until the next release of the software?

You state “hang in there, the release is coming soon”, I would like you to work with flawed software release 2014.1 for the last 11 months.  It has been very very very painful.

Just upgraded to 2015.1 on a Terminal Server and it's still slow.  I modified the FASACCT.xml to optimize performance in Terminal Server environment, but that didn't change how slow the reports are printing.  Any other ideas?

    6538,

We apologize for this inconvenience regarding the slow performance on reports. After reading the full thread of this post there is still no explanation as what exactly you are experiencing other than reports run painfully slow. Would you mind sharing with us here what reports exactly are ran and what group or groups are used when running the reports? Also when running the reports are more than one book selected? If so how many? Does this also happen on a machine accessed directly and not via Terminal server or Citrix?

The slow performance on running reports can vary based on the information selected also.

Have you tried to create a new database and do a backup of the company in question and restore into the new database?

The more information we can gather on this issue the better we can understand the problems that you are encountering. This can also be forwarded to our development team for feedback.

    Respectfully,

    Lovisa

We just Upgraded to 2015.01 and sitll notice the speed of reporting is still slow. I thought verision 2015.1 was suppose to fix this issue.  It took 5 min to run a standard fixed asset report for 7000 assets.

What do we need to do to improve the speed of report processing?

Do we have to wait another year for a new version 2016.1 to fix the issue?
