WITHHOLDING METHOD FOR VISA WORKERS

SUGGESTED

We have workers who are on visas who are not required to withhold for USFIT.  Currently, the only way to change the withholding method to Taxable, No Withholding is for our business partner to go "behind the scenes" in our data and make the adjustment, which costs $500!  1) Does anyone know another way to accomplish this?  2) Can this be put on the update agenda for future engineering improvements?

Hi Kay, You can change the employee's Withholding method for USFIT from Standard Calculation to Taxable No Withholding.  To do this, navigate to the Employee Payroll page > Taxes tab > select USFIT and click Tax Info button.  Change the option in the 'Withholding Method' field to 'Taxable, No Withholding'. Save, Close, Save.  There is no need to go behind the scenes.  Aside: If you do not want to track a wage base for this tax, delete USFIT from Taxes tab and Save.

This is awesome, but does it matter if the employee is a new add?  It seems like I don't see it as an option when we add someone brand new.  Thankfully, I don't have anyone brand new to add to try it on just at the moment.
