Help!

Question

Hello, 
 I have downloaded and installed the Sage50 Accounting 2017 program 3 times. Every time I try to open one of the sample companies or create a company, I get an error message saying "Sage50 cannot be started." Right now, every time I open the program, it says it is trying to activate, says it is trying to contact Sage servers, and then says activation failed, try again later. 
 
 I have emailed sageeducation@sage.com and gotten no response. We're two weeks into class and I haven't been able to do anything yet. Help!

Hello, Thank you for contacting us. Sorry for the delay in response. Have you already contacted your instructor for assistance with the Sage 50&mdash;U.S. Student Edition? Is this a newer Windows 10 machine with all recent updates and do you have any firewalls? See KBs like Error: "Sage 50 cannot be started..." and I just updated AVG and KB29087-Error: "Sage 50 cannot be started..." 
 For steps involving environmental or program activation issues, see KB10501- Error: "There was a problem activating. Please try again later." or "There was a problem with the activation files for Sage 50." Students may receive support for installation issues only at 1-866-747-3888. Complimentary technical support is not included with the Sage 50 student version.
