Negative slip adjustments via activity/task code-2017

We previously were using Timeslips 2011 and used one task/activity code set to negative 50% which automatically took care of all the affected slips.  We just upgraded to 2017 and had a consultant upgrade our database.  This feature no longer works with a negative number, only positive now.  I even tried it in the sample database with similar results.  Was this feature removed at some point between 2011 and 2017?  Thank you.

I'm having a hard time understanding what you mean in that first sentence. Can you give us a bit more information? Maybe an example?

Thanks. So we use one activity code when people travel which reads "50% travel/working time".. The code is set to -50.00 % markup in 2011. Entering a slip in 2011 using this code would automatically change the "billed value" by 50% less. If you go into the slip and hove over the price in the upper right hand corner you will see a magnifying glass. Once you click on the price, you would see the markdown there but not on the slip listing. This does not happen in 2017. I hope this helps.

You are correct. It appears to be broken. It is reacting the same for me on another database. I'd advise that you contact Sage Technical Support directly to let them know so they can log the problem.

Let me see if I understand you correctly, because it is working in Timeslips 2017 with the December update here at Timeslips.

I create a slip using a task, and using the Markup (+/-) area, put in a -50% markdown. The slip value then shows as the value minus the 50% markdown, and does bill properly at the 50% value.

That works. But, try editing a task/activity to a -50% reduction and it does not affect the corresponding slips like it did before. Please see trouble ticket #8005875994. It has been confirmed that the software is broken in this regard. Negative adjustments no longer function at the task level like before.
