Emailing bills throwing address violation only on certain clients

Can't figure this one out.  Ran billing in July and all emails went out like a champ.  Ran it in August and got address violation errors.  After I fooled with it for a while, it was only certain clients that it would hang up on - the rest would go in a batch just fine.  Any ideas?

Check the email address fields on some of the ones with issues. Have seen where a strange character, like a comma, caused an issue.

Yeah - tried that, but no common thread.  No stray/special characters or anything like that.

Phil, I've heard of there being issues within Outlook in relation to some of the email addresses.  I.e., when Outlook gets the email from Timeslips it sort of 'vets' it and if it doesn't like it, kicks an error that then causes Timeslips to kick the address violation error. Unfortunately an address violation error is sort of a generic message in Timeslips, and so is not helpful in pinpointing where the issue is.

My understanding is that Sage has a new updated debugger DLL that can give you more information as to why Outlook doesn't like the email and you could then use that to troubleshoot. I could be wrong about that, but that is my current understanding.

If you have a support contract with Sage, you could contact them about that.  If you don't, or are running an unsupported version then third party consultants like us would be your only option for that.
