Moving Sage Timeslips 2013 from computer to laptop

SUGGESTED

I am trying to figure out how to move Timeslips from one computer to another. The computer the program is currently on will no longer be used. I need to move it to a laptop that will use the program. Can anyone help with this? The program is Sage Timeslips 2013. Thanks in advance.

Will Timeslips be only on the laptop or is the laptop just a workstation connected to the Timeslips system. It makes a difference in the instructions

It will only be on the laptop and only  used on the laptop.

    In that case you need

    1. The reinstall codes from you current system. Those are found in help > about Timeslips > support information.

    2. Timeslips 2013 installation and service releases. Those are not available for download, so if you need them you will need to get them from a consultant like me

    3. A backup of your database

Then you run the install on your new laptop. Install the service release and open and restore your database. However, Timeslips 2013 is over 8 years old and is not supported on Windows 10. It may work and it may not. I have had situations where it installed okay but the database could not be opened. In that case your only option will be to upgrade to Timeslips Premium which is a subscription. I would be happy to speak with you directly about options if this is necessary.
