Good afternoon,

I work for a law firm. I use Sage Timeslips 2015 for billing. I'm considering  upgrading to a newer version but would like to know first if there is a way I can prepare a standard bill or group of slips to be used with different clients so that I don't have to enter every slip one by one every time I bill a different client with the same fees and expenses.

  • Depends how many slips you are talking about, but sure. Couple of ways to do that. 1) You could create a "client" to hold these slips, and then just copy the slip and change the name of the client when you want to create those slips.  2) I also have a few items in my own database that I just went ahead and created an activity for. It that has the description/quantity/price all saved and can be invoked just by choosing that activity. or 3) if it is a lot of slips, you could create a little spreasheet of the items and use TSImport to print them in. (More complicated, but worth it if it is a lot of slips.

    Hope that helps.

If you are interested in an upgrade, please know that all Certified Consultants are also Resellers. :-) So I'd appreciate the opportunity to discuss pricing, features and differences between v2015 and Premium with you.

Can I do the first option with the 2015 version? And is there a video I could see these process?

You can do all options with what you have. I am not aware of any videos that demonstrate that specifically.

I could show you via remote desktop, but then that becomes a billable event for me.

  • Timeslips Premium has a feature called "Duplicate to Multiple Clients" where any slip can be chosen from the slip list, right-click on it and choose the function.  You pick the clients form the list you wish to apply it to and they will be saved identically on all clients chosen.

Contact Sage sales at 800-285-0999 and the salesperson can setup a no-charge demo for you to see the differences and enhancements in newer versions that you may find of interest.

Thank you. Can I duplicate multiple slips at the same time? What I actually need is to copy multiple slips to one new client.

Thank you. I will consider it if I can't find a solution after trying the various recommendations.

    Thank you again.
