Creating a 2nd Database

SUGGESTED

Users are connecting to the database they've always used without any errors. Several users are from different firms and have asked if they can have a new database that they access for their separate clients.

Is it possible to create a second database for these users?

Can these users switch back and forth, or log out and into each database as needed.

The new database doesn't need any exported data, just a clean install ready to create clients.

Sage Knowledgebase Article 115190 covers this issue.  There is no practical limit to the number of databases you can access.

Thanks for the response, I see the option to create a new database and I'm given the following options: Accountant, Architect, Computer Consultant, Construction, Legal, Legal with ABA Litigation Codes. This is for a law firm but I'm not sure which one to chose. Is there a way to check how the current database is configured?

Choosing either Legal type would be appropriate, and either will work.  As the description states, these are pre-defined commonly used tasks and expenses for a legal practice.  Refer to the attorney as to whether they use ABA (American Bar Association) Litigation codes on bills or not.

Appreciate it and the quick response. Got the database created, it was rather easy and I used the current database as a template for security only but didn't add anything else. Client can add this information.

Timeslips (in my opinion) has always been a little tricky creating users and giving them permissions. How do I go about doing this, currently I'm the only user and need to add others. I would like them to have the same permissions they have in the original database.

    THANK YOU
