I have never been able to use Pegg.  As much as the representative try to help in the forum, it is not the same as getting a person on the phone, or being able to invite them into your system to see the problem for themselves.

Try closing Timeslips then deleting temp files on your computer and restarting. Sometimes that will help. 

oh....I've tried everything, including that!  I've done this 8 years w/TS and accessing CS just keeps getting worse

Additionally, the problem with connecting with PEGG is likely due to damaged Cookies in your web browser.  You can clear those using instructions for your browser and you should have better luck.

To recap this solution @KATMIT, we were able to resolve your issues using the KB article posted and to clear the cookies for the chat page being used by the browser.

Looking at your past history there were a number of prior issues with your preferences file as well, and while some may have been from your prior environment, it may actually be more related to other environmental factors like anti-virus or an application that is modifying your temporary file space environment and our PREFS.XML file.
