As a broad, general rule it is not possible to edit a time entry once it has been billed.  This is for audit  and control reasons.  We need to insure that what the client saw on the bill presented to them remains what the system has as a record.  

It is possible to temporarily allow you to edit billed slips, but I will not post how to do so in a public forum as I view it as a dangerous thing that opens the database up for fraud.  Not that you yourself are trying to commit a fraud by changing the slips, but that some later/other reader might be interested in doing so.

I also find it rarely necessary.

What sort of "strange formatting" are you trying to fix?  What sort of report are you printing to accompany the motion?  Have you tried the History Bill for the Court report?  We include that report precisely to give you something that "looks like your invoice" to submit with Motions for Fees.  It usually formats quite nicely and fits most people's needs.

The formatting issue is that there are sections of blank spaces between timeslip entries when printing a 'Slip Listing' for a particular client.  I am not sure, but think that there are possibly extra spaces in the text field on the slips where the description of the work performed is written.

I see, does it do it on a History Bill for the Court as well?

If you need to revise slips that were on ONLY the client's last bill, there is a chance that you can undo the bill, make the changes, and then regenerate the bill again.  I agree with Nancy, however, that you may want to make sure that you don't end up with something in your database different than what your client received as a bill, so I would be extremely careful.
