Extra Linefeed when entering slips.

I have TimeSlips 2010 SR2 (Build 18.0.2) installed on  both a Desktop and a Laptop.  They are both running Windows 7 Pro, SP1.  The copy on the desktop works properly, e.g. When I enter or duplicate a slip, I can type text on the first line, and when the slip is saved and then re-opened, the text is still on the first line.

The Laptop copy, however, has an annoying problem, which others on the forum have mentioned on various versions of TimeSlips, even up to and beyond 2012.  It automatically inserts a blank line before whatever is typed into the slip in the editing window upon saving the slip.  If you open the slip back up and delete the blank line, as soon as you save it, the line comes back again.

I've tried some recommendations I saw on the forum, e.g. disabled spell/grammar check, but this did not work, moreover, spell and grammar check are enabled on the desktop copy and it doesn't have any issues with the blank lines.

I'm convinced this has to be a setting somewhere, but I can't figure out what is different between the two copies.

Does anyone have a solution for this?  Preferably not one that requires spending $3,000 on an upgrade.

Best regards,

Greg
