Modifying Process Flows To Launch Specific Requester

1 minute read time.

Wow, what a year. Sage ERP X3 has been doing quite well this year. Evidence of this is the fact that I haven’t posted in quite some time! There have been so many new sales and it seems all the implementations are going live at the same time, Jan 1st! But all that is about to be behind us and I’m going to sneak in a quick blog post, my final one for 2013, a short but sweet post.

Process flows, how do you edit one in such a way that would allow you to press a button and launch a specific requester?

  1. From within Sage ERP X3 (v6) launch Setup | Interactive Dashboard | Processes (GESAPR)
  2. Load the Process Flow you would like to alter
  3. Draw a new graphic, such as a square with the drawing tool
  1. Simple example using the signature Process Flow
    image
  • With the new square highlighted click on the link button
  • Set the link with the following properties
  1. Function = EXEALH
  2. Transaction = The code of your requester goes here
  3. Key = Leave this blank

  • Save the Process Map
  • Refresh your dashboard and you’ll now see the link you drew. When you click on it the requester you set will be loaded.

Voila, you are now a Process Flow master. See you in 2014!
