Hi- right after I performed the WO close, I went to the work order and the status displays as 'closed +costed' and I cannot reactivate.  I didn't run the WIP cost inquiry so why does it display as costed?  Is it because when you close the 'wip finalization' occurs?  if so then how are you able to reopen any closed orders if wip finalization happens at the time of closing??  any help apreciated!  thanks 

never mind- figured it out.  when close there is the question if you want to cost where we typically say yes.  if say No then the WO is 'closed' and not 'closed+costed'.  thanks

Our Sage X3 does not ask if we want to cost it.  If we click the close on the work order it Closes and Costs it.  Would you happen to know if there is a configuration or setting that would bypass the Question when closing a work order related to costing?

If the user has the right to close and cost the work order, he/she should get the question "Production cost calculation" after the work order is closed. If the user does not get this message, it is possible that the user does not have rights to that function and the company has the cost function run through a recurring task.
