Copy a folder from one server to another server

SOLVED

I would like to know if there any steps to copy a folder from one X3 server to another X3 server

I have done the download of our live folder . The I copy the directory content of the SVG folder on the Live folder to the SVG folder of the new folder on the new server.

I have complete the creation of the folder on the new X3 folder, do the folder validation and then go to the console and do the import.

When the import is finish, the new folder loses the version and the patch level number. I can see this on the X3 console.

After creating the endpoint, the message I have is the ADOSSSIER.FDE file is missing on the FIL directory on the new folder.

What I think it happens is on the export of our live folder  the ADOSSSIER.FDE is missing so it doesn’t  create the configuration file.

Should I do the new folder created from the console as a copy of the X3 folder using the console?

Any suggestions would be appreciate.

By the way we are on product update 8 patch 3 , X3 console 232, SQL Server 2014

I have use the steps suggested and still is showing not Release number and patch number even though the folder I am importing is on release 50 patch 3. Also the X3 folder doesn't shows the patch number even though I apply the patches until patch 3.

I just put the X3 folder until patch 3. I loaded the SVG files for Live on my new server but I noticed that the tables sill empty even after the load is complete. I don 't know if it is relate to the Runtime version that I have installed on my VM machine since I don't have the Runtime version for patch 3. Any ideas.

It sounds the X3 install has an issue.

When you create the solution after opening console for the first time it loads the X3 folder into the SQL server, if I had to guess its probably related to that.

Also when importing your data ensure Import of the table structure only is unchecked otherwise it won't import data.

Additionally, when you import a folder you get a window that pops up, it has a trace tab and that trace tab should tell you whats going on.

    Hope that helps
