Crystal Report use TextOfChapter Function

Question

Hi, 
 I know how to use the TextOfChapter function 
 TextOfChapter ({?X3DOS}, "ENG",231 ,1 ) is the chapter im using in X3 People and my X3DOS variable is passed but it does not allow me to preview in Crystal designer. 
 It only works if I export crystal out of X3? 
 
 I get the error below when I refresh in crystal designer:

 Please take a look at below Forum post.
