Hi,

We have a customer on PU8 patch 6 and we are currently experiencing a problem with recurring tasks not continuing to execute. Some more information:

• The tasks are set up to start at a particular time each day, say 04:30.
• Taking one of the recurring tasks as an example, importing invoices from an external system, it is set to run every 5 minutes.
• The task runs and completes successfully.  Even it if takes more than five minutes to import a batch of invoices, the next execution is scheduled.
• However, on some days the next execution is simply not scheduled.  This does not happen every day and also does not happen at the same time of the day.
• When this happens and without our intervening, nothing is processed until 04:30 the next day when the batch server starts the task again.
• These tasks have been running fine for over a year; the problem started about a month ago.
• No Sage patches have been applied for many months, we have applied development patches though.
• The invoice import process is a custom integration.

Has anyone seen this before?  It is almost like the signal to schedule the next execution is not passed to the batch server. Could it have something to do with the exit code of the import routine?
