How do we know if we have the Java Bridge enabled?

I don't see this KB in Sage support at all.

You need to be logged into sage support. Just search the knowledgebase by typing in the kb #, 91662, 91658, 91659....

I am logged into sage support.  I get no returns when I look for KB91662, or any of the others, actually.  I get the return "there are no results, try re-wording your search".  I've tried it every way.

If you are on V7P8 or earlier and you are using Paya for credit card processing, then you are using Java Bridge. If you are on V7P16+, PU8P7+, or PU9P5+ then it can be enabled in Setup, Usage, Credit card, Payment gateways (SEPAR).

Will there be instructions coming out as well?  The KB does have the download.  Running the program, the first part asks Name of the Sage X3 component.  There's nothing there and no instructions.

I am changing the KB articles to refer to the attachment. Each download article does have an attachment which are the instructions. There is one pdf for V6 and earlier and there is another for V7-PU9.

Correct. You are not currently using the Java Bridge to process transactions with Paya. It is using node.js and there is nothing for you to take action on at the moment related to the Paya integration.

If you do upgrade your patch level and you would like to take advantage of the functionality to run, for example, invoice validation (FUNCFMINV) through the batch server, then you would need to enable the Java Bridge and use the current Java Bridge.

So Java Version 223 will allow for processing of Sage Pay (Paya) transactions (FUNCFMINV) when ran from the Batch server (in V7 - PU9)?

To clarify, you can enable the Java Bridge in V7P16+, PU8P7+, or PU9P5+ which will allows you to process transactions (ie FUNCFMINV) through the batch server.

The Java Bridge 223 will communicate with Paya using the TLS 1.2 protocol per the PCI compliance mandate that is scheduled to take effect 6/25/2018.

I’m trying to follow the instructions.  I ran the setup program.  Now I’m in the console.  The instructions say to highlight this:

We cannot see the version of the Java Bridge that is installed. It is in the top right corner of the configuration  screen.

During the installation you were instructed to: Select Maintain or update the instance of the application selected below. Did this happen?

This will place the Java Bridge into update mode. It should be surrounded by orange as reflected in the instruction guide. If you had the console open when you performed the install, perhaps you need to refresh the window?

What comes up first is a request for the name of the Sage X3 component.

It doesn't seem like you have a Java Bridge component installed on this server. Are you sure that you are on the correct machine? You may want to contact your Sage certified business partner for help with installation or contact support if you specific questions.

In V6, if you go to Setup, Addon Parameters (GESAX0), you can review the location of the Java Bridge installation.
