I was wondering if a sales order is locked by a user, is there a field on the database that will show that this order is locked?

How does records get added to APLLCK table
Resolution |
In Enterprise management , logical locks are used to lock records in order keep the integeraty of records.
When you visit for example Sales order and load an existing record, a logical lock is placed on that record, and a line is added to APLLCK table.
When you exist the function or switch to another record, that line is deleted from APLLCK table.
You can use the function VERSYMB to view these locks.
How APLLCK table can be cleared? As I see, the locks stay there for a different purpose - will guess - interrupted user session, server breakdown etc. As we found out - many users do not use Sage log off functionality - but close browser. Probably - it will leave locks on records as well.
From a line in the grid of the VERSYMB function you can jump-to the user minitor and terminate the "phantom" session. You can as well purge the table using various tools but I advise you to contact your integrator or customer care for detailed instructions.
I know this is an old thread. What I found is that on VERSYMB, we only see 300 some lines. but we have 14K records in the APLLCK table. Is there a way to safely clear them out?

Same question as Mike Tsai
From VERSYMB (Locked Symbol), it is said this table record was locked.
When I checked the APLLCK table:
How do I identify if it is or is not locked?
For reference, it also keeps lock details from the past.
