Hello, When we went live with Sage X3, using an iPod touch and the camera was our first idea.  The issue is that the phone has no way to take the results from the camera to the website.  We had to use an iOS enabled 2D scan gun.  Still costs way less then using a full feature scan gun and works well for us.  There is an issue we are facing where the TAB button needs to be hit to populate fields and there is no TAB on iOS.  

Thanks for the response. Was wondering about the tab function since that is one of the only ways to invoke the actions on the screen. Did you use the mobile version of Sage X3 or just directly via the browser? 

We went live with an app called GlinkVT for iOS and Android. It's a VT220 app and both platforms use the same type of configuration file that can be created and installed through a menu item in Sage. The device camera can be used to scan barcodes. The Sage "mobile app" doesn't have this capability.
