purchase order update via web services error

Question

In V12.0.21, and I'm trying to add lines via web services to POs that are partially closed, but I get the 'can't display a popup in webservices' error. It works on POs that are not partially closed, and it works when manually adding lines to the partially closed POs in X3. I tried it in a 12.0.23 environment and got the same error. 
 Curious to know if anyone has encountered this and what might be done.

 There is not a way through the front end to fix that problem unless you remove the popup messages. Web services is unable to process popups that occur during normal use of a function (example is like credit card hold messages, or customer notes) the only way to fix that problem is to suppress the popup when Web Services is involved. this would involve writing code. and modifying the function. I would suggest talking to a Local or Assigned Business Partner. Unfortunately, your local support may not be able to help as Local Support only reviews SOH, ITM, and BPC object in junction with Web Service Object Oriented calls. All other objects may work, but they have not been verified and approved.
