Have you already checked Setup, Financials, Accounting interface, Default dimensions, select 'Purchase Invoice Line' PID code? Does that look correct?

The setup is what is was in V7.  We just completed a migration to V12, and, are at P24.  KB article suggest this is a bug, and, P25 provides a fix.  Unfortunately, we are not going to apply P25 for several months.

The KB also says:

There is a hotfix that can be applied for P24 that will resolve this. Support can provide this. The hotfix is named: WX_22850_R090_024
