Sometimes it could be due to the user accidentally clicked on the "preparation" button. Check the "Sales -> Shipment Preparation -> Pick Tickets" and see if there's any pick ticket created by accident for this order. If there's one, just delete it, and it should release the order from "under preparation" status.

That's what I thought but there aren't any pick tickets for this order.
