Is it possible to have an average cost per warehouse for a product for the same site?

Hi Braam, this information is not calculted in the system: the AVC information are managed at the product-site level. Yet, you have in STOJOU all information you need to run your own custom calculation to have it.

Thanks. So we still have to split the 2 warehouses as non-financial sites to be able to manage this process. This means the next challenge is, can assembly transactions working across sites. I know manufacturing can, but manufacturing is an overkill for this project.

Hi Braam, Assembly like work orders are linked to a single stock site. So you would need to transfer the stock in the site where the assembly takes place before issuing it.

If this is a single location with a single address, I would use a single site with multiple warehouses if needed. But in that case, we should have a single AVC.

If really, the customer wants to track the cost separatly, then I would advise to use the average lot cost and ensure each receipt done in the different warehouse create a new lot number. Or you can create a small customization to create a lot number matching the warehouse code, in that case you would be able to have different AVC per warehouse. The problem would start when you want to move the lot from one warehouse to another or when you want to implement lot traceability.
