Is it possible to add QR codes to Crystal Reports, and have them print out onto documents?
Basically, we have stock labels that are printed out of X3 and wanted to have a QR code, rather than a bar code
Thanks
Hi,
Considering this was the first result I get when I search for QR code Crystal Report for Sage X3, I will be putting in some details from a year+ of research.
Make sure to test the print from Sage X3, not from Crystal Report's preview. Do note that Sage X3 uses its own Crystal Report engine and generate report on-demand.
1. Using Crystal Report for Enterprise from Crystal Server license: No. Ref:https://www.sagecity.com/us/sage_x3/f/general-discussion/185045/sage-x3-v12p26-print-server-error-when-printing-reports-created-from-crystal-reports-for-enterprise-when-testing-for-future-qr-code-purpose/502976#502976
2. Using Crystal Report's User-Defined module and special fonts (such as BarCodeSoft): No. Ref: https://www.sagecity.com/us/sage_x3/f/general-discussion/202610/print-engine-error-in-sage-x3
3. Host a QR code generator server. At Crystal Report, apply a dummy image and dynamically replace that image to QR Code equivalent: OK. Check with your development team to host the QR code generator server.
I have not tried CUT Light so if anyone tested and tried printing in Sage X3 successfully, I would be interested in the answer.
Special thanks to goQR.me for QR code study and providing temporary API server for QR code image testing: https://goqr.me/

Additionally, please skip patch level of Sage X3 v12p34 as there is a known issue with it: [v12p34] Unable to print Crystal Report dynamic image pulled from HTTP on a HTTPS website
