upload the .CSV file to SageX3 to create Sales Orders

SUGGESTED

Hello all,

our company recently purchased Sage X3 license. We have a e-commerce website that creates sales orders in Sage X3. But some customers places the orders through email in bulk using Excel spread sheet.

I want to upload this spreadsheet/csv to Sage x3 to create the sales orders in Sage X3.

Looking for ideas on how to achieve/implement this.

Thanks!

    Hi Ramya,

Sage X3 ships with a number of standard import templates.  The sales order one is functionally quite rich and should do what you're after.

There is documentation in the online help online-help.sageerpx3.com/.../

Look at the SOH (Sales orders) template document.  You can export an order using this template to give you an idea of what the file should look like.

If you need to make changes to the fields, e.g. remove some, please copy the template to ZSOH to indicate that it is a customer-side change and then make your changes on the ZSOH template.

There are two options in terms of where the file is placed - start with client so that you can select the file to import.

Please do all of this in a test folder first.  :-)

    Hope this helps.
