How to finding imbalances between the sub ledgers and the general ledger?

    Hi,

    If your AR or AP isn't tying to the General Ledger, note that there is no subledger for either. AP and AR accounts are set up as control accounts, so all entries to the GL must have a BP.  If your aging does not tie to the GL, here are a few things to look at:

    • Run as of today. The agings don't go back in time. The As of Date only works if there has been no activity since that date.
    • Check that all the journals have a BP. It may be that in the beginning, the AP or AR account wasn't a control account.
    • Are you running the out-of-the-box aging? Try that to see if it works. Your custom report may need adjustments. You can also look at the Account Inquiry.
