Apparent fractional closings of work orders

We have begun to notice a problem that is occurring during the validation of work orders.  We have seen several instances where someone goes in to validate an additional container on an open work order (our work orders are fully closed the next day), X3 will validate it as a "partial" container.  For example, this shipping personnel validated an additional tote of product--tote is set up as a 2400 lb fill level.  In X3, the tote appeared as a fraction of a tote:  961 lbs to be exact.  Now if you actually *try* to enter a fraction like 0.4 into the validation quantity box, X3 will red-line your entry and not allow it.  We have seen this problem multiple times recently and are wondering if this is a known bug that has a fix/patch.  I can provide screen shots to illustrate the issue if someone can help.

    Hi,

Would you be so kind as to fill in some of the missing information asked for in this post?

Most importantly for your issue, the exact function code you are in, and the version and patch level you are at.

    Thanks!

    I am operating in Sage ERP X3, V6.5. (Application release 35 patch 26 - 16v.003).

•Where exactly you are in within the Sage ERP X3 application.
    - When we have caught this problem, we catch it when we are closing a work order (Manufacturing/Production Tracking/WO close). Most of the time, unfortunately, we do not catch this problem until we happen to be viewing the item in one of the Stock Inquiries (Stock by Lots, Detailed Stock) and we see an item with an amount incongruent with its fill level. We shared this problem with a programmer that assisted us with the installation and startup, and he said that the problem *appeared* to be starting in the Work Order itself.

    •When the problem happens
    - The problem happens randomly and is not the same every time. It affects all different fill levels of products. The most prominent error, however, is probably that X3 is adding 1 to a given fill level when a transaction posts. (i.e. A 2400 lb tote of Product X is closed out but instead of 2400 lbs showing up in inventory, we frequently (but randomly) see 2401 lbs)

    •For whom it happens
    - We have not noticed a pattern to who is validating work orders when the issue is occurring.

    •What it affects
    - If affects our inventory and I assume this will also affect calculated product costs.

Let me know if you have any more questions or if I can provide screen shots of what we have seen.
