Office 2016 - exporting to Excel

The addin for V7 to export formatted spreadsheets to Excel, does not work in office 2016. 

At this time, i have been told that there is no planned patch for this and there will be no update until SU9. 

That is way to far away and there is also the assumption that a company will upgrade to SU9. 

We need to put pressure on Sage to issue a patch so that all users can use Office 2016 and still export to Excel. 

  • We are having trouble with the same issue.

    Even more - Sage X3 PU8 Outlook plugin does not work with Office 2016.

    We also received same promisses as you did! It has been told that actualy only Sage X3 PU10 will be compatible with MSO 2016, which might be backported to PU9 after that. Compatibility is still in development, while PU9 is already available.

  • Also have the same issue. The company just bought X3 also on the basis of Office integration and figured out in the first days of analysis that it's not compatible with Office 2016. Hope PU10 releases soon with working Office plugins.

  • Dear Richard,

    As per my research sage is not gona provide patch for excel or office plugin. the PU9 support is going to end by the end of year 2020. I prefer instead of going to PU9, For Office 2016 and office 365, just use the older version of Sage Office plugin. which is 1.9.9.
