Branch Accounting - Offline Branch

We have both offline and online branches for a branch accounting module. When we change the synchronization setting to offline. We can't able to see the warehouse of same branch in any modules. Any idea?

    Hi Team. Just to add on to Mathew's issue.

    I have a scenario like this:

    One Head Office and 19 branches on offline branch accounting. In the branches, there are only salespersons who make quotes, invoices and receipts only.  Credit notes and refunds are processed from Head Office. The challenge is that when you log into head office database and on the login select the branch for which to process a credit note, you cannot see the branch customers on the credit note screen. Also on the line items, you cannot select the branch warehouse. Only All branches customers and All Branches warehouses appear on the selection options

    For that, the head office user is forced to remotely login to the branch and process the credit note. Sometimes connection to the offline branch will be bad and the user cannot process the credit note

    In Head Office, you can process a GRV on behalf of a branch. When you sync, stock reflects perfectly in the branch. If you made a mistake on the GRV in Head Office, you cannot process a Return to Supplier on behalf of a branch. When you select lines on the Return to Supplier from Head Office Database, you cannot select the branch warehouse. Only All branches warehouses show. You are forced to log into the branch database to process the Return to Supplier. 

    This is happening in V10.1.2.001

    I am not sure if i am missing any critical setups to achieve this

    Dear Bennie,

    I got reply from support that "As per system design, you are unable to use both modes (online and offline) simultaneously".

    Is this correct.

    Hi Jeejoe

    For the same Evolution company it is not possible to use both Online and Offline Branch Accounting simultaneously.

    Remember, for Offline Branch Accounting you need a sync monitor that syncs the local branch's DB with the HO DB, and vice versa. The users working on each branch is in a different geographical location than those working at the HO DB.

    It makes therefore no sense to work in both Online BA and Offline BA simultaneously for the same company DB

    Dear Bennie,

    Actually in my client ,I have total of 16 branches and out of these 16 branches 14 have good internet facility and 2 have very limited internet strength.

    So we plan to suggest 14 on online and 2 as offline.

    Ok, but just as long as you realise and implement the following principle:

    1) The Head Office for the Offline Branch Accounting network of companies is its own VAT/Tax and Financial entity

    2) The Head Office for the ONLINE Branch Accounting network of companies is ALSO  its own VAT/Tax and Financial entity

    3) Else, if all 16 companies are part of teh same VAT/TAX entity you'll need to develop some additional reporting with e.g. Sage Intelligence to consolidate the reports from both HO's into one report e.g. the Trial Balance, Balance Sheet and all other reports.
