Sage 300 Intermittent Mail delivery failed errors

Problem:

Users reports intermittent errors when sending mail from sage 300 customers or vendors. Error Mail delivery errors. Use the Email tab on the Company Profile screen to send a test email and confirm that all settings are correct.

Cause:

We have picked up when outlook is opened the above error appear. However if outlook is closed the email send through successfully.

Resolution:

Ensure that both Outlook and Sage 300 are run using the same windows user. If Sage 300 is run as administrator ensure Outlook is setup the same. The reverse also resolves the issue (ensuring both are not run as administrator)
