Sending out bills via emails above server limit

SOLVED

HI, I currently have a client that sends all his bills/Invoice and statements via email to more than 500 customers. The problem is that Pastel Partner v18 places all 500 emails in to the outbox or outlook which immediately starts sening them. This in return causes the domain to be blocked and reported as spam since the server limit is 500 emails per hour per domain.

I have tried using outlook rules such as delay, but all it does wait the set amount of time and then sends all the emails in the inbox. I have search high and low for tools that maybe could help but all I get is mass mailing software that wants to send the same email to 500 emails address also this software is very costly and comes with options that the client will never use.

The client does not use a exchange server.

Thank you

    Good Afternoon,

    Thank you for your question.

Once the documents have left the Sage software, Outlook takes over all the functions. Regrettably I am not an IT technician nor a network specialist so I am unable to advise you on how to overcome this issue outside of Sage Pastel Accounting.

The client could send out the Invoices/Statements in batches therefore avoiding the 500 emails per hour alternatively you could contact the service provided and request if this limit could be lifted.

If we have any IT technicians or Network specialists, maybe you could provide an alternative solution.

    Kind Regards

Sending statements Pastel gives you an option to send statements in batches but sending out reoccurring invoices there is no such option. All reoccurring invoices are send with once

Thank you for your response, yes you are correct when sending invoices it send everything in the open batch. In this instance since the limit is set as per the Server and not Sage, I am regrettably unable to provide a solution as explained earlier not being a qualified IT tech or network specialist.

I do hope that one of our IT tech's or network specialist will reply and provide a solution to you.

    Kind Regards

    Good Morning,

Apologies for the delay, I have further investigated this problem by requesting the advise from our own IT engineers.

They advised that as your client does not have a exchange server this means that the mail box is hosted by the service provider. The limit of 500 emails per hour per domain is set by the service provider.

You will need to contact the service provider and advise them that this email box needs to be added to a whitelist to stop this from happening.

    Kind Regards]
