The error occurs when trying to run Sage Intelligence report on workstation in Pervasive Version 13 Client/Server environment and Sage 50cloud Pastel. This is at the point when system is trying to create the link. The link has already been created on the server so the workstation should not be trying to create the link.

WORKAROUND:

Run Sage Intelligence reports on server.

  • Hi All I got this to work i think.

My client has to upgrade to Pervasive 13 C/S, what i did is I made the link from the workstation and not the server, I tested this on two workstations and it seems to work.

Let me know if this works for you guys as i have not done the full upgrade yet only testing out for the moment.

Hi, this is the problem we are having, we are unable to create the link from the workstation itself when using Actian 13 Client/Server

This is the exact steps i used

    1. Installed Pervasive 13 64bit server on the Server
    2. Installed Pervasive 13 32bit client on the workstation
    3. Ran the report for the first time from the workstation therefore created the link from the workstation
    4. Before the link was created I had to put the Administrator password for the server in
    5. Tried this from 2 workstations and the reports ran

Unfortunately I cannot mix two versions, I have a license for 64 bit, not both 64 bit and 32 bit.

As far as i know the server carries the licence so what on the workstation does not matter, i would even try workgroups 32bit on the workstations. to see what happens.

Just remember when when you using workgroups start Pastel in C:\ and not the mapped drive
