The new PAYE report for 2024 has temporary been withdrawn.

On 6 February 2024, the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) published Public Notice No. 12 of 2024. 

The notice introduces a new PAYE return, replacing the current monthly PAYE return (Form P2). The new PAYE return layout is similar to the ITF16 annual return, however, it is submitted monthly. The new PAYE return is applicable with effect from 1 January 2024 i.e., returns due on 10 February 2024.

ZIMRA published Public Notice 14. of 2024 on 7 February 2024 extending the submission due date for the new PAYE return to 26 February 2024 (original due date - 10 February 2024). The extension relates only to the return submission date and does not extend to the payment of the PAYE due. PAYE due should be paid by 10 February 2024.

Additionally, it has been announced that the ITF6 annual return will no longer be applicable starting from the 2024 tax year, returns for 2023 and prior years are still required to be submitted.
