UPDATED | Ghana: Tax table changes effective 1 January 2024 - effective date confirmed

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) have now confirmed the effective date for the tax changes to be 1 January 2024.

 

The tax tables brackets have been confirmed as follows:

Updated post (2024/01/16):

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) have confirmed that they have not started to implement the new tax rates for 2024, and that the effective date will be communicated in due course.

In addition to this, the amended tax tables refer to an “above 600,000” amount and not 605,000 . This has been escalated to the GRA awaiting confirmation.

 

Once an effective date is confirmed, Sage will release new tax files.

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has released the new tax tables effective 1 January 2024.

The Income Tax Act, 2015 (Act 896) is amended in the First Schedule by updating the Rates of income tax for individuals:

New Annual Tax Table noted below, effective January 2024
