Release 5.5a Update - ETI

SUGGESTED

Good evening,

We updated to release 5.5a this evening, and reran the midyear test run out of September.

We received no error when we created the file on VIP Premier, however when we import the test run into Easyfile (version 7.0.7), we fail the test run due to the following errors:

Monthly Calculated ETI (7004): If Year of Assessment (3025) is 2021 and ETI Month (7006) is 04, 05, 06 or 07 and ETI qualifying 12 month cycle indicator (7005) is 1 or 2, then value MUST be greater than zero (0.00), (YoA3025=2021, 7004=593.84, ETI Month 7006=05, Age=35, 7009=NOT COMPLETED, 7005=1)

If I open the file that we exported out of VIP Premier in notepad for the specific colleagues, it looks as follows:

7006,"03",7005,0,7007,000.0000,7002,0.00,7003,0.00,7008,0.00,7004,0.00,7006,"04",7005,3,7007,160.0000,7002,4516.78,7003,20.76,7008,21.10,7004,743.70,7006,"05",7005,1,7007,160.0000,7002,4916.41,7003,20.76,7008,21.10,7004,593.84,7006,"06",7005,1,7007,160.0000,7002,3943.07,7003,20.76,7008,21.10,7004,750.00,7006,"07",7005,3,7007,160.0000,7002,4372.45,7003,20.76,7008,21.10,7004,750.00,7006,"08",7005,0,7007,000.0000,7002,0.00,7003,0.00,7008,0.00,7004,0.00,9999

There will be no 7009, as this is the SEZ Code, and these companies did not fall within a SEZ Area, according to the last release, the SEZ code was not apllicable for colleagues above the age of 30 to 65, employed prior to October 2013 and if they fell within cycle 3? And why does the file show 7005 (cycle indicator) for 05 (May) as 1? If I go into our May copy company, the cycle indicator was 3, and not 1. We have the same error for 06 above, it shows as 1 and not 3, but shows as 3 on the system? However 04 shows as 3 and 07 shows as 3 on the file and the system?

Is this a SARS issue, or an update issue? If so, how do we correct it, as we are currently getting 7533 lines of failure reports, all with the exact same decription, which relates to  7006=05, Age=35, 7009=NOT COMPLETED, 7005=1 & 7006=06, Age=35, 7009=NOT COMPLETED, 7005=1 (May & June)

Please advise asap.

Thank you

Kind Regards

Roesché

HI Avril - GOOD NEWS! I have just done a resubmission for the small company that had the Error 1777 on the EMP501 satus dashboard and it has submitted and not come back with any errors! What a relief. I will do a bigger compnay when I haev a chance but I'm sure it should be fine.

Can I just check that we will need to keep manually exporting the ETI History for all companies to fix the periods to period 3 for the applicable ee's over 30 years that had a period change during Apr-July and then import back in before our certificates will validate? NO chance of VIP offering a solution to this??

Thank you for your assistance so far

    Regards Lynda

    Hello Lynda

This is fantastic news, really appreciate the feedback. I am sure other Sage city members were also anxiously waiting for this confirmation.

With regards to the ETI, this is the only process that I am aware of to fix the period set and counts. If you require assistance you will need to complete the Web Form. The Support Team will advise on the information requested

Thank you. Just a heads up that even though the Easyfile submissions are now going through without the error and the EMP501 is generated into your chosen folder , the EMP501 is 0kb and doesn't open! If you go back into Easyfile and go to Declarations and click on View next to the submitted button it also won't open. This did not happen prior to this ugrade. I called SARS and they said that Easyfile is aware of the  problem and are working on it. She wasn't sure how they would communicate when it was fixed though.
