The update must be done in the August period. It will be release on the 6th of September for Premier, Classic and SBCPP. If its possible to wait until the update is released before rolling over this would be ideal.

Should you need to process payroll. You can roll over to process payroll. Then when the release is out you can restore a backup to get back to the August period then you will be able to update in August. You will have to reprocess your payroll if a backup is restored.

This is really a difficult solution, especially seeing that we have to process 3500 people on wages a week. We cannot wait to roll over into a new period, why is the software not released earlier?

We understand the inconvenience caused however changes could not be made available earlier, as we had to wait for clarity and final legislation from SARS before we could start to implement the changes.

Good day we are also a weekly processing company processing over 1000 weekly wages we can not hold back rolling into the 1st week of September so what is the solution for wage companies

We see many ETI queries all over, so these are the steps that we are considering and will most likely implement.    

1. Backup of Aug 2021 on 5.6a
2. Copy system of Aug 2021
3. Roll live system over into Sept 2021 on 5.6a.
4. Print EMP201 before the update
5. Update copy system of Aug 2021 from 5.6 to 5.7a6
6. Backup Aug 2021 that is now on 5.7a
7. Do general recall
8. Reprint EMP201 and discuss changes
9. Roll Aug 2021 Copy System (5.7a) over to Sept 2021 - this will allow the correct Period Set and Count to calculate for Aug 2021
10. Export ETI from the Copy System - that is now in Sept 2021 (5.7a)
11. Import ETI from March 2021 - Sept 2021 into the live Sept 2021 (5.7a)
