How to set the Sage X3 Print Server into Debug mode

It is very important to understand what is going wrong with a report when it does not print.

Or printing takes too long. Or the report does not finish.

To address the above successfully, Sage has a built-in Print Debugger, inside the Sage X3 Print Service.

To switch this on, follow the below steps:-

  1. Navigate to the X3 Print Service, by opening Windows Server Services.
  2. Find the X3 Print Service.
  3. Select and Right click on the service and select the properties
  4. Click on the Stop button on the popup Dialog Box
  5. Under the Start Parameters section, enter /d inside the blank field
  6. Click on the Start button.
  7. The Print Server will now be started in Debug mode.
  8. When printing anything inside X3 using the X3 Print Server, a DEBUG log file will be created and stored under the Temp Directory of the X3 Print Server component.
