Troubleshooting SAML2 on Sage X3 using SAML2 Tracer

Troubleshooting steps:

  1. On chrome web store > Search for SAML Tracer and Add to chrome

(Listed under Development tools)

   

  1. Launch Sage X3
  2. Go to the extensions and on SAML-Tracer to launch the tracer window.

 

  1. Go to the extensions and on SAML-Tracer, click the action and hover on “This can read and change site data”. The select your Sage X3 URL.

   

  1. On Sage X3 click your SAML button to launch your login process

   

  1. Make sure your SAML-tracer is visible as all the Http requests will be displayed and where SAML is triggered it will be displayed with an orange SAML logo at the end as illustrated below.

   

  1. If the users requires more information on a specific call the user can click the link and the below screen will be populated with the metadata response including tabs of format of choice.

   

Additional information:

A user can export the data which will display in a JSON format of the whole Http requests and responses to have a better view of the process.
