A performance issue has been identified when upgrading Sage X3 to the 2023R1 release.

It is related to the utility  STO221212_284313.adx (populate ENTCOD field when it’s empty on STOJOU table from WIPCOST table) that can run a long time on database with huge volume of data.

The solution to this issue is to replace  STO221212_284313.adx  with this 6567.STO221212_284313.adx that is available for download from our ftp site.

For customers with large data on the STOJOU table, please follow these steps:

• Edit the ZIP file x3-patch-12.0.33.zip which is available on our ftp site >Public\Sage X3\X3 Hotfix\X3 V12\Sage X3 Functional\
• Go on the directory FILES\ADX
• Replace the file STO221212_284313.adx by the one which is in this zip file : 6567.STO221212_284313.zip

Then you can upgrade to the release 2023R1 by using the file x3-patch-12.0.33.zip you have just updated. The aim of this new utility is to remove the STOJOU update.
