The password length in this program has been 7 characters for over 20 years I believe.

The only suggestions I can provide with the information you have given is to check your caps lock key to make sure it is off and make sure you can see the *.sai file and *.saj folder properly in Windows Explorer.  If you have others using Sage 50 on your network, make sure they can open the file and check to see if you can use your password on their computers to open the file properly.  If you can, then there is some issue with your computer (network connections, firewall issues, etc.).

Other than that, check the error message against the Knowledgebase articles with the same message text to see if there is any other reason you may not be able to get into your file.

Thanks for reaching out! If this issues persists and you can't get the right password to get into the database. Call our Sage 50 CA customer service at 1-888-222-8985 and ask for a password override. It can be done for any version of the software.
