Remote Data Access error message "this file C:\...sai is currently being used by another application."

I get this error message everytime I log into my company via remote data access. I close out properly, so I am unsure what or where it is getting hung up.

"This file 'C:\filename.sai' is currently being used by another application. Please enter a different file name."

Any thoughts on where it is getting hung up or maybe a different way of closing out to ensure this doesn't happen?

Thanks for reaching out! I ran this by Sage 50 CA support who asked whether you'd rebooted your system and were still getting this message?

yes. even when I reboot. I basically have to 2 file names on my computer that I switch between so I can open the company and sync the files. it happens 100% of the time even when I shut down for the night, computer off, the next morning it will have the same error. I don't particularly like have two company files saved on my computer. So if you know why this is happening that would be great.

Open TASK MANAGER then select PROCESSES or DETAILS and look for mysqld.exe , if you see it select it and END TASK. If mysqld is still running then for some reason Sage is not closing out properly
