Says Shared Company Already Open

Question

Why can't I open my company files? I have been trying for 2 hours. It says that the company is already open. I can assure you it isn't. From what I read this was a problem that was supposed to be resolved. I never received an email on how to resolve it. Please help. I have a week of work that needs to be done today.

Hi Jessica Lavigne , Thanks for reaching out, hopefully you already came across the steps in this article which applies to the below issues including the one you experienced: Error "This shared company is already open." 
 The main step involves accessing the computer which last accessed the file. It likely has the most recent copy of your data. Disconnect the computer from the internet and see the KB for step by step instruction on how to save a copy of the disconnected data so that you can reopen it. Once the file opens and you've verified that it has recent work, reshare it onto Remote Data Access using the steps in this blog on how to replace or re-share a Sage 50 CA company file for Remote Data Access .
