Unhandled Exception

I get this error when entering sales or purchases.  It's random.  I have the option to Quit, which closes SAGE 50 immediately, or Continue, then I have to close and reopen the window to continue posting entries.  It's random.  Sometimes once per session, sometimes continually for hours.  Restart the program, restart the computer... nothing helps.  Had tech support help, they uninstalled the program and reinstalled, but the problem is the same.  It slows down my progress when I have to constantly close and reopen the window between entries.

    Hi  ,

Thanks for reaching out. Did you ever find an answer for this issue?

Based on the information provided and the specific error message you mentioned, it appears this issue might be related to the setup of sales taxes within the application. An article from our Knowledgebase addresses a similar error when creating a purchase invoice, suggesting that improperly set up tax codes could be the cause. The resolution involves verifying that the tax codes are correctly set up. If you're not using sales taxes, another recommendation is to go to the Taxes tab in the Vendor record and switch the tax code to "No Tax" for all vendors before trying to save the purchase invoice again.

For detailed guidance, including how to manually update sales tax codes, please refer to our Knowledgebase article here: How to address "Unhandled Exception" errors related to purchase invoices and sales taxes.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, or if you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to get back in touch.

    Warm Regards,

    Erzsi

Hello, I haven't found a resolution yet. Thank you for the suggestion.  My sales taxes are set up properly.  The error comes randomly, sometimes when I've posted a tax, sometimes when I haven't.  Sometimes shortly after I've opened a company, sometimes after several hours of work.  There's no consistency other than the frustration I feel.
