Creating new files

Question

Is anyone able to create a new sage file? I just get the creating new database, then nothing. It kicks me back to choose my file..

Related to your question though, first ensure that you have determined the start and end dates of your fiscal year , as these will be needed during the setup process. Also, decide on the earliest transaction date you want Sage 50 to process. 
 If you're encountering issues at the step where you're creating a new database, there are a few things we can check:

Installation Folder : The issue you&rsquo;re seeing could indicate that the BLANKDB template folder is missing from the local installation folder. This can be due to the folder being deleted or moved, or your antivirus/firewall may have interfered with the installation. You can temporarily disable your firewall/antivirus and reinstall Sage 50 to restore the necessary files.
