Sage 50 Connection Manager problem from Trial version

SUGGESTED

I downloaded and installed a couple of versions of the new software but decided to stay with the Simply version I have.

I uninstalled the trials but was left with a Sage 50 Connection Manager that seems to be residing on my system somewhere.  It shows in my Taskbar but there is no program in the remove programs area within the Control Panel

I use Windows XP by the way.

This fragmented leftover is having devastating effects on my system and the performance of my equipment.  I need to manually remove it but do not know where to find the instructions to do so.

I tried contacting Chat and got absolutely no where other than speaking with someone outside of Canada somewhere in this big wide world who was less than accommodating.

I have been told to go to a computer technician and pay to have it removed myself!  I mean really - like that is going to happen....

I have been using this software for over 20 years and now I try a FREE trial and end up with complications and problems PLUS I am told to pay to have this freeware removed ...

It is like a virus and I have no intention of paying to have it removed as I am sure there must be someone that can walk me through doing it or point me to a proper knowledge article that will walk me thru....  chat agent pointed me to a knowledge article on how to remove the software via the remove programs even after being told several times that there was NO SOFTWARE in the listing to remove....  unbelievable...  crappy customer service to say the least.

SO can someone please, please help out and give me instructions on how to remove this fragmented file system from my computer...

Thanks

    Hi fixit

You may want to reinstall Sage 50 again on your system, then go back to program and features and run the uninstaller.

If you really want to remove it manually, you can try to watch this video below for tips of how to remove software manually

For Sage 50, you can find connection manager under C:\Program files (x86)\winsim

The registry key of Sage 50 is 1585982E-766D-476A-BF0D-5FE4A1C1BE9F.  Remember to backup your registry before you remove the key

    Sage 50 Accounting 2015

    1. Go to Edit - Find - type {1585982E-766D-476A-BF0D-5FE4A1C1BE9F} and click "Find Next". All keys named {1585982E-766D-476A-BF0D-5FE4A1C1BE9F} in the registry should be deleted.
    2. If the key is in another key folder named E2895851D667A674FBD0F54E1A1CEBF9, in the left pane, delete the whole folder E2895851D667A674FBD0F54E1A1CEBF9 instead.
    3. Click on "F3" on your keyboard to continue searching for the next key that contains the value.

As per the video, you can also download CCleaner for free to clean registry. You can google it.

    Hope this helps.
