SUGGESTED

Has anyone experienced gray out employees that cannot be selected on the payroll run journal?  I have updated to latest version of sage, check employees DD and info, all looks good.

Advice?

    Hi

    Thank you for reaching out.

This might be related to your payroll plan's active employee limit. Here's a step-by-step approach that could resolve your issue:

    1. Verify your Sage 50 Product Upgrade: Go to Help > Upgrade Your Sage 50 Product. Ensure that the Account ID and Serial Number match the ones for your software, then click OK.

    2. Check for Error Messages: After verifying the upgrade, try running the payroll again to see if the error persists.

    3. Use the Database Utilities: If the error doesn't occur in the sample company, use the Database Utilities tool to open your data file and process the payroll. You can find this tool in the Related Resources under Article ID 47464.

    4. Review Active Employee Count: Ensure that the number of active employees matches the limit of your payroll plan. You may need to make some employees inactive if you exceed this limit.

    5. Contact Customer Sales: If your business needs have grown, consider contacting Customer Sales at 1-888-261-9610 to discuss upgrading your payroll tier level.

If you've recently upgraded your payroll tier, remember that it might take a few minutes for the changes to reflect in your Sage 50 program. If problems continue after these steps, please don't hesitate to get in touch with Sage customer support for further assistance.

    Warm Regards,
