Upgraded to V30 and can't find any attachments/Favourite reports etc

SUGGESTED

I have had a nightmare installing V30 from v29 -  after uninstalling and re-installing a few times, finally my Sage 50 is working again ... but I have no attachments from previous years, or records of previous bank reconciles or reports that I had created. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From your error message it looks like your data has moved locations. Your data would only be in the 2024 folder if you had installed v30 and created a new company.

If you look in the location C:\ProgramData\Sage\Accounts and you should have different years available, which is where your missing data will be located. You could then copy what’s missing into the 2024 folder or edit your company file to point your software to the old directory. (Recommended)  >>

    The company file

Another option would be, if you took a full backup prior to upgrading, restore it and that would put everything thats missing back.

    Hi Jemma

Did you solve this as I have the exact same issue on a customer site?

Upgrading from v29 to v30 has wiped out all the favourites and lost custom reports, at first I though this was due to moving servers but I have also upgraded Sage 50 on the old server and have exactly the same problem.

    Thanks

    Hi Mick,

    I still haven't got it back :(

Ian kindly gave me some pointers but even when I restore my backup from the old version, it still has missed out all other years report settings and attachment and 2024 is blank with no info.

    Any idea's?

Are you able to add favourites back in as this is another problem they are experiencing, the favourite star changes colour but they don't appear at the top where they used to? They do appear in the main menu so this is very strange.

All my favourite templates aren't there either - did you speak to Sage?

I have spoken to Sage and the way favourites work has changed, they are now dependant on which area of the product you are using. For example if you favourite a customer report, it will only show as a favourite when you are in the "Customer" section and likewise if you favourite a sales order report it will only show when you are in "Sales orders" section. I have tested and confirmed this works.

I did also manage to find some of the custom reports by searching all the Sage data folders, I found the ones missing in the 2023 folder and then moved them to the current 2024 data folder into the same equivalent position and they now appear in the report list.

    Hope this helps.
