SSP errors

SOLVED

I have an issue with SSP errors.

I had processed our August month 5 pay and updated and sent an FPS.  I then asked our IT support company to update the version of Sage Payroll to the latest version.  During this it crashed and would not allow log in. They worked on it and then said it was fixed.

I then noticed just before doing my September pay run that the 'last updated' date next to each person was showing as the July payroll date.  I assumed the IT company to fix the issue had used a back up made just prior to update and so I updated again before proceeding with September pay.

However on then looking into an SSP record against an employee his absence records are now missing for August.  HIs historic payslip is correct and shows SSP, and his History figures are the correct amounts.  If I try and add the absence records back in it tries to pay again in the current month.

When I run a payment summary history by employee the figures are all correct.

Do I need to worry about this for year end or does it sound like it will report the figures correctly?

    Hi Caroline,

    Thanks for using Sage City.

If the employee’s current year to date (YTD) figures are correct and include August, but the software is still trying to pay the SSP to him for August again, this would make the YTD figures for him incorrect.

To resolve this, first take a full backup in File > Backup, then try running a Repair and compact on your data. If the issue still occurs, you can then rollback the employee up to and including August, then run the payroll again for him, up to the current period, so his August figures don’t duplicate.
