In this second article of the series, I want to consider how to prepare Mailchimp for the integration. This will include generating the API keys and identifying the Audience to which Sage CRM will send contact details—these will become Mailchimp audience subscribers.
You must already have a Mailchimp account (and an audience) created. If you do, you will next need to log on and click to open the admin menu.
Select Account. The API Keys are found under the 'Extras' menu option.
You will be prompted to create a key if you don't have a key.
You must copy this to a text file until you can use it in Sage CRM.
You will find the Audience ID within the Audience settings, which is unique to each Audience.
This is in small text and could be easily overlooked.
Copy the Audience ID into a text file until you can use it in Sage CRM.
The following article will cover exactly how to use the API Key and Audience ID to configure the integration with Sage CRM.
