In this revised third article of the series, I will discuss configuring the integration within Sage CRM using a Mailchimp API Key and Audience ID.
You will need to log onto Sage CRM and navigate to
Administration -> Email and Documents
You need to enter the API Key you generated in Mailchimp and the Audience ID to which you wish to send the Sage CRM contacts.
New Feature in Sage CRM 2024 R2
Sage CRM 2024 R2 introduced the ability to choose the Mailchimp Email Builder. When setting up Mailchimp integration, users can now select the email builder they plan to use for creating emails and email templates. This feature was not available in Sage CRM 2024 R1.
Note: Understanding which email builder has been selected in Mailchimp is essential, as using a different one may cause the Mailchimp integration to stop working. If you switch the email builder in Mailchimp, you must also change it in the Mailchimp integration settings in Sage CRM.
Once that is saved successfully, you can review the information.
The configuration will have made a few automatic changes in the system, including adding the Mailchimp campaign option within the 'My CRM' menu.
I will authorise additional users to access the Mailchimp features in the following article.
